Marian Hossa Is the Ultimate pro Stock Hockey Stick Guy!

Every stick must be perfect to his spec or he rejects it. As part of his pregame routine, he puts a ton of time into prepping several new sticks for each game. Each of his game sticks vary slightly in height ( + / - 1/8” off his standard already very long 64” length) and then he uses what feels the best to him during that game. He also uses a custom Tacki-Mac rubber grip on the butt end – lots of guys are switching to these grips. There are some Tacki-Mac standard ones sold in retail stores but most of the pros use custom made.
Attached are three photos of his sticks including his current CCM CL500 along with his wicked toe curve. We FLEX-CHECKED each stick: Bauer Supreme One95 (95 flex), Bauer X60 (87 flex), Warrior custom AK27 (102 flex) and his current CCM CL 500 (95 flex). The mandrel is oversized with squared-off corners. Hoss tapes his blade with 1” Renfrew cloth white starting at 3” up the shaft to the tip of the toe and trims the excess from the corners.
How many sticks will Hoss go through in a season? Survey says . . . about 300!
Hoss is amazing and so are his sticks!
