In recent years, Sharks captain Joe Pavelski has developed into one of the most proficient goal scorers in the NHL. While playing on a line with Joe Thornton admittedly has been a key to his success, Pavelski consistently finds ways to get into open space and beat goaltenders with his quick release.
His Warrior Covert QR1’s Dagger T2 design offers a Super-Low kick point that enhances the quick release on his shots. By using a relatively low flex stick for his size (80-85), Pavelski is able to drive his bottom hand through his shot in stride and have the puck to explode off his stick. The soft tacky grip helps him keep his bottom hand locked in place and allows him to better control the placement of his shot. The slightly open curve helps to quickly elevate the puck while in tight in front of the net.
Pro Stock Hockey will often have some of Pavelski's Covert QR1 sticks available for purchase!
