Warrior got its start in 1992 with founder David Morrow, a former lacrosse player. Morrow took his company's name from his old Birmingham, Michigan lacrosse team, The Warriors, and the company originally focused on making titanium lacrosse shafts. Well-Known Warriors

Two of the best-known Warrior stick users are Zdeno Chara and Martin St. Louis, with both opting for unique designs that set them apart from anyone else on the ice. Not surprisingly, Chara uses a massively long stick — 65 inches from knob to heel, which is the maximum the league will allow. What's more, his Warrior stick has to be made incredibly stiff to keep it from acting like a rubber band every time he takes a swipe at the puck. Forwards know to watch for Chara, since he can seemingly cover the entire ice surface just by stretching out his arm. St. Louis also uses an extremely long stick in proportion to his 5 foot-8-inch frame, and has his Warrior stick customized with an extremely low lie to keep the blade flat on the ice while he's puck handling.
